Well that was a rather long hiatus. I'm back and will be updating my blog again!
Let's start it off with the really amazing opportunity I received last week. I was invited to New York City to appear on the The Late Show's "Stupid Pet Tricks"! My human and I were booked at a nice hotel a block away from the Ed Sullivan theater where the Late Show is filmed. We arrived on Monday and got to explore the city for a bit.
Tuesday we got up early to go to Central Park! It was so cold though and we were only able to spend a short amount of time there before my human needed to go somewhere and get a hot drink! We had a big day ahead anyway and headed back to the hotel to get ready for rehearsal. We would find out after rehearsal who was chosen to actually meet David Letterman and be on TV! It was so exciting. Everyone said my rehearsal was perfect and I only had to do it once. I hoped that meant they liked me.
It turned out they didn't like me... they LOVED me! I was first to go on stage and do my trick in front of the live audience and be taped for TV that night. Also performing was a cool dog named Lexi and a mini horse with his doggie friend. Waiting in the green room was torture. But being on stage was amazing and I didn't need the practice (as I tried to tell my human that morning by refusing to do my trick in the hotel.) Everything went perfectly well and I was so excited I couldn't help but start a fun game of tug as we left the stage.
After the show I got to tour the theater and check out the stage some more. A lot of photos were taken and after we left some people from the audience even said I was their favorite! We went back to our hotel to share the news with our friends and relax before dinner. The next morning we were on our way home but not before getting a few more photos and saying goodbye to NYC. I cannot wait to go back!
